My Best Tip: Buy at Dr Green and Smoke at High Garden

weed cafe bangkok

Alright, I know you’re in a hurry, so I won’t waste another second. Here’s my killer tip for buying the best weed in Bangkok and heading to one of my favorite weed cafes. Yep, buddy, that’s how I roll, doling out free tips left and right! You’ll thank me later.

Get ready for a super chill afternoon that might just turn into an unexpected party, depending on how things go.

Start your adventure at Dr Green, the #1 weed shop in the Thai capital. I’ve talked about it in more detail in the Dr Green Bangkok review. I recommend reading it; I’ve only received compliments about it! To get there affordably and quickly, you have two options:

  1. Take the BTS to Asok station.
  2. Take the metro to Sukhumvit station.

Whichever you choose, it’s about a 2-minute walk to Dr Green. There, buy your weed. You’ll see, there are over twenty strains, all selected with love and sold at unbeatable prices!

Plus, since you’re a Bangkok Stoners reader, you can use the promo codes I’ve negotiated for you:

Now, with your fresh greens in hand, take a leisurely 10-minute walk to the High Garden at Four Twenty. Look for the 3Howw Hostel Sukhumvit 21, find that small door, and head up to one of the coolest spots in town.

This isn’t just any rooftop bar — it’s a slice of heaven right in the heart of Bangkok. The vibe is always buzzing, the crowd’s super friendly, and the views? Absolutely Instagram-worthy. They’ve got a killer selection of drinks, and guess what? You can roll and smoke your newly bought Dr. Green special right there. No worries if it’s not from their shop; they’re all about the chill vibes.

Oh, and I told you, it’s not just any night out. They’ve got live music, events, and parties that will keep you entertained till late. But a quick heads up: while there’s another dispensary right downstairs, stick to Dr. Green for the best prices and quality. Don’t settle for less when you’ve already hit the jackpot!

So, what are you waiting for? This isn’t just advice — it’s the insider scoop to having the best time in Bangkok. Those who’ve followed this trail always thank me later. Get out there and make some memories that you’ll cherish forever!

My 3 Favorite Weed cafes in Bangkok

Alright, I imagine after my awesome tip, you might not feel the need to check out the other weed cafes in Bangkok. But let me tell you about them anyway. Honestly, some of them are pretty fun. If you’ve got the time, go have a tea and smoke a spliff there.

Here are my most fun recommendations!

⚠️

CAUTION – Even if in most of these weed cafes, you may be allowed to smoke, vape, or consume edibles on-site, it still depends on their own rules. It is always better to ask the staff before lightning your big fat joint.

I absolutely love this place. It’s an awesome rooftop at the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 11. The concept is super cool: you enter the shop (next to the 7/11), then take the elevator up to the 5th floor, and bam, you’re in the cafe.

Honestly, it’s more than just a cafe because you can drink alcohol, blow some weed, and even enjoy some good, simple, yet always delicious dishes. I recommend the medium-rare rib-eye with homemade fries. You’re in for a treat.

For me, it’s a regular meetup spot with my buddies. And the boss, he’s just too cool. Always down for a good chat. He even brews his own flavored rums. There’s a counter with about thirty bottles. Every time I go, I grab one. My favorite? Strawberry, simple but effective.

This weed cafe is probably the most fun in Bangkok. The theme is aviation. Yep, when I first got there, I was blown away—it’s an actual recycled airplane turned into a cafe, and even better, a cannabis cafe.

Inside the complex, everything reminded me of my many travels: the terminal for customer reception, the waitresses dressed as flight attendants, the stairs to board the plane, real airplane seats, and even the toilets are replicas of what you find on flights. Plus, as a bonus, I got to play pilot for a bit on the flight simulator. I thought that was super cool.

Of course, inside, you can enjoy cannabis tea, dishes, snacks, cocktails, etc. After a tea inside, I decided to head outside to smoke, as it’s forbidden indoors.

Here’s a tip: if you’re in Bangkok on Halloween night, grab a drink at MD-82 Cafe before heading out. That’s what I did, and I was amazed by the quality of the entertainment and decorations. I admit, when a waitress, made up with blood, came crawling out from under the seat, I definitely jumped…

Also, I recommend checking out the MD-82 video on the YouTube channel WeedHub, it really showcases the marijuana cafe well.

Oumi Organic Cafe

Alright, I’ll confess, this is one of my go-to lunch spots in Bangkok. This is where I get those famous cannabis chicken skewers, which I always pair with sticky rice sprinkled with cannabis powder. Honestly, it’s seriously tasty. And I think the prices are very reasonable. A set of 10 skewers is only 150 THB. With that, I often grab a Cannabis Caramel Macchiato, and I’m all set! If I still have room, I usually can’t resist the cannabis carrot cake—it’s just so scrumptious.

They even sell weed for those interested. I’ll admit, it’s not where I buy my stash, but it’s good to know. Actually, I’m lying because I have bought a pre-roll there when I didn’t have time to stop by Dr Green. And I perfectly remember not being disappointed, neither by the taste nor the effect.

Now, this shop might not be the most fun on the list, but I think the quality, both in terms of food and drinks, really makes it worth a visit! Plus, they have two weed cafes, one in Sathorn and another in Ekkamai.

Frequently Asked Question

Apparently, weed cafes in Bangkok are a hot topic for you guys, as I receive a ton of questions about them every day. But no worries, I’m really happy to answer because I must say, I love these places. Without further ado, here are my honest responses.

What is a weed cafe?

What is a weed cafe, you ask? Picture your favorite little corner cafe where you love to chill, now add a twist of green magic to it. That’s what a weed cafe is all about! It’s not just about sipping on some killer coffee or grabbing a fresh juice; it’s a whole vibe where you can explore a bunch of cannabis-based goodies.

The first time I walked into one, I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical. But man, after hanging out there, I realized it’s an experience you just can’t miss.

So, what’s on the menu at these joints? Here’s the scoop from what I’ve found:

  • Food: We’re talking delicious snacks and meals, often with a cannabis twist.
  • Drinks: From your morning coffee to chilling juices, and yes, sometimes even a boozy drink or two.
  • Cannabis: Expect a variety of strains and products to suit any taste.

Bottom line, if you’re looking to spice up your cafe routine with a little buzz, weed cafes are where it’s at. Trust me, drop by one, and you might find your new favorite hangout spot!

Are weed cafes legal in Thailand?

Ah, that’s a proper question guys. You all ask me in the email, “Max, are these weed cafes even legal?” It’s a solid question! Here’s the deal: it’s a bit of a maze. Medical cannabis? Totally legal. But when we talk about weed cafes, we’re treading into a gray area. They’re kinda on the edge but generally cool as long as they play by the rules.

But, here’s my tip: always scope out the scene and ask around before you waltz into one. When I swung by the Oumi Organic Cafe, the boss laid it down how they keep it tight with local laws and stay cozy with the authorities to keep things smooth.

By the wat, if you’re ever in doubt or need the 411, just hit up your buddy Max. Yeah, that’s me, always here to keep it real!

Why should you try a weed cafe in Bangkok?

So, why hit up a weed cafe on your next trip to Bangkok? Let me break it down for you with some solid reasons that’ll have you booking your next flight.

  • Cultural Mash-Up: Not just a spot to relax, but a real cultural experience, I believe.
  • Strain Variety: For the weed connoisseurs, the variety is mind-blowing. Each spot has its specialty.
  • Chill Vibes: The atmosphere is unbeatable. It’s the perfect place to unwind, meet new people, and swap stories.

Convinced yet? If you’re looking for a genuine, unforgettable experience in Bangkok, a weed cafe should definitely be on your list.
